“So always be ready, because you don’t know the day your Lord will come.”– Matthew 24:42 As Christians, we often hear about the importance of “being ready”, especially in light of current global events. The war in the Middle East, with Iran and its proxies like Hezbollah posing significant threats, has created widespread concern. The possibility of nuclear conflict looms, adding to the anxiety. In such times, we encounter various teachings and theories about the potential impacts of these conflicts. Additionally, the prevalence of liberal, godless ideologies among world leaders fails to offer any reassurance. Our only hope Then there is the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the Bible – our only hope. We need to be ready for any eventuality. We have been commanded to be strong in the…

I love buying the magazine I so badly want to subscribe to the JOY! Magazine, but it’s not an easy choice for me. I trust God, by His Holy Spirit, that they will be convicted to be born again. JOY! Magazine cannot just…
At the end of 1961, a young exchange student studying at the Bible College of Wales, Swansea, was on his way home when he decided to take an unguided sightseeing tour of London. As he walked, he came across a house with a nameplate on the front that said “George Jeffreys”. He wondered if it could be the great George Jeffreys who had founded the Elim Pentecostal churches in Ireland and England and whom he had read so much about. An unexpected encounter with George Jeffreys ignited Reinhard Bonnke’s divine calling. This is how he told the rest of the story: “There I rang the bell. A lady opened the door. ‘Pardon my intrusion, ma’am. Does George Jeffreys live here, the famous evangelist I have heard so much about?’‘Yes, he…
Good day, precious friends. As evangelists, we have the privilege of travelling to many countries on mission trips, spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ through preaching the Word of God and acts of service. Increasingly, we have seen a trend amongst those we minister to – unforgiveness. Unforgiveness is unhealthy We are not making light of whatever may have happened to these precious people; however, we have seen that unforgiveness opens the door for the devil to work in their lives. We have also seen that unforgiveness has blocked healing and deliverance. I heard one person say, “Unforgiveness is like a person drinking poison and expecting someone else to die.” Forgiveness is freedom On the other hand, we have also seen that when these precious people have forgiven those who…
Everyone expects a pastor to pray for his people. But pastors need prayer too. In fact, they need much prayer. Their responsibility is great, satan’s attack strong. Listen to the words of 1 Thessalonians 5:12-13, “And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you; And to esteem them very highly in love for their work’s sake.” Twelve verses later this same author states the most simple and profound way to do this: “Brethren, pray for us.” Specific prayer requests On one hand you can pray for your pastor just as you do for any other believer. (They are needy Christians too!) It is also important to realise that there are specific things for which pastors need special…
