“Share each other’s burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ.” – Galatians 6:2 I read the Scripture above as a commandment, not merely a suggestion. The other day I asked a longstanding Christian acquaintance if she would please meet with another friend of mine to encourage her. They both have daughters of the same age – the one being a church-attending, born-again Christian for many years; the other a seeking teenager who is struggling to fit her faith in with all the secular girls around her. She just needs to be invited and accompanied to church, and introduced to a few other young girls to grow in the Lord. Everyone knows teenagers are shy and do not wish to attend anything on their own. This young lady…

For a season now, I’ve…
The popular slogan “From the river to the sea” is now regularly chanted by Palestinian supporters, and many on the political left are adopting it without understanding its implications. The phrase suggests a Jew-free Middle East. Hitler’s dream was a Jew-free Europe. Where will seven million Jews go this time – new gas chambers? Uncritical media, deadly consequences The media’s uncritical publication of Hamas propaganda is fuelling murderous hatred of Jews. It’s a chilling echo of the 1930s, only now the Nazis have been replaced by Islamists – and the left is enabling it. The left manages the propaganda; the Islamists handle the execution. False figures, real danger Why is Hamas’ false information about “genocide” accepted without proper scrutiny? I recently spoke to a young activist who passionately claimed that…
Have you ever heard someone say, “I’m so ready for heaven”, or “God can come now – I’m done with this world”? I’ve heard it many times, and I get it. The world is heavy. Things are dark. There are multiple wars going on. Many people are feeling weary. Many Christians would rather be in paradise. But while it’s natural to long for heaven, we must be careful not to wish away the time we’ve been given here and now. God doesn’t make mistakes. He chose this exact moment in history for you to be alive. You weren’t born too early or too late – you were born for this moment. And that’s not just a nice idea. It’s a calling. You were made for this moment – not by…
