The Zimbabwean presidential and parliamentary election date has been announced for Wednesday 23 August 2023. Zimbabwe was previously known as Southern Rhodesia (at the behest of Cecil Rhodes’s British South Africa Company and named after former coloniser Cecil John Rhodes). Its current name, Zimbabwe, is derived from the Karanga dialect and means “house of stones”. Yeshua said in Matthew 16:18 that He will build His church upon a rock and the gates of hell will not prevail upon it.
