I had read a couple of reviews which were pretty negative and I find that puzzling. Ten immortal beings may seem too many characters for a film to handle but it does so adroitly and without sacrificing any character development. Together they make an eclectic mix of personalities and their familial bickering is interesting and fun to watch amid the huge decisions they have to make. Overall a sumptuous feast of entertainment that feels very different from the rest of the Marvel canon. The Robinson family (plus robot and comedy smuggler) do finally feel lost in space (for the first few episodes, at least), and when the Jupiter 2 starts getting swallowed by a giant alien bug, this really does feel like an Irwin Allen show with a modern spin.
