Latoya Newman latoya.goldstone@inl.co.za Veron Vadivelu’s short movie, Untitled For Now, which was selected at six film festivals, has won two awards.
Earlier this year, Vadivelu, of Durban, won the prize for best debut for a film-maker of short film at India’s Uruvatti International Film Festival.
More recently, the movie won the best soundtrack award at the Europe Film Festival (UK).
Vadivelu received the award as the producer, and Jaedon Daniel, also of Durban, for composing the film score.
The film is about Michael, a 26-year-old engineer.
After breaking up with his partner, Michael is forced to re-evaluate his life, career and passions.
Through odd interactions, he tries to discover who he is and what he wants in his life.
