JILL GREENBERG
For this issue, Greenberg shot four of America’s most influential LGBT storytellers: our cover stars Jill Soloway, Janet Mock, Ellen Page, and Lydia Polgreen (page 54). “To have conversations with women trying to change things for all of us was so inspiring,” says the photographer, who’s currently working on a feminist short film.
SCOTT INDRISEK
Indrisek, who’s written for The Village Voice and The New Yorker, profiled three of L.A.’s hottest young artists for this issue (page 74) and learned the differences between New York and L.A.’s artistic climates. “Artists in L.A. have cars and dogs,” he says, “and probably less seasonal affective disorder than their East Coast peers.” Indrisek runs Teen Party, a Brooklyn art loft devoted to “putting intergenerational pairings in a domestic space.”
