NEWS Alec Baldwin is gearing up for the fight of his life, as he prepares to defend himself against two counts of involuntary manslaughter.
The actor, 64, was hit with the charges by prosecutors in New Mexico, following a harrowing incident in October 2021 on the Santa Fe set of his film Rust, where he accidentally shot cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, causing her death.
Prosecutors will argue that as a producer and actor, Alec had a duty of care when using firearms on the set. If found guilty, he could be sentenced to up to five years in prison.
