THE first-ever plug-in hybrid version of the Skoda Kodiaq SUV is now available to order, with prices starting from £41,935.
The new Kodiaq iV offers a pure-electric driving range of up to 75 miles, bringing tax benefits to company-car choosers. However, the PHEV loses the regular Kodiaq’s seven-seat option, and sacrifices some storage space too. Its boot capacity is 745 litres (1,945 with the second row folded), down from the 910 and 2,105 litres in a regular five-seat Kodiaq.
Skoda’s plug-in hybrid powertrain consists of a 148bhp 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine and an electric motor. The total output is 201bhp and 350Nm of torque, and that 75-mile range drops the car into the five-per cent BiK band.…
