Photographer Andrew Aveley snapped this lone cat in Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park as his tawny mane caught the rising sun. The latest in a charity series dedicated to conserving endangered wildlife, Remembering Lions reinforces a simple warning: if we don’t act now, we’ll be compelled to remember lions on page, and not in the wilds they should lord over.
