Featuring more than 3,600 athletes from 48 European countries, the European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) is a sporting competition like no other for youth athletes. The recent seven-day event in Maribor, Slovenia, saw teenagers compete in a range of sports, including skateboarding, swimming, tennis, volleyball and 3x3 basketball.
Great Britain had 39 athletes taking part across five sports: road cycling, mountain biking, swimming, judo and artistic gymnastics. The youngest Briton was 13-year-old gymnast Ellie Lewis from Bridgend, Wales.
In total, Team GB won 24 medals – seven golds, 10 silvers and seven bronzes.
