There isn’t one subject that makes someone a game maker. Games are built by teams of people who are good at different things – numbers, stories, art, logic, science, movement and teamwork.
MATHS: THE SKILL BEHIND GAMES
Maths helps games feel fair, smooth and fun. It’s used to work out how fast a character runs, how high they jump, how gravity pulls them down and how difficulty slowly increases.
But maths isn't just about numbers. It teaches you how to spot patterns, solve problems and think step by step. Those skills are used when designing rules, fixing bugs or figuring out why something doesn't work yet.
