Wilwood's new Brake Pushrod Depth Gauge Tool allows you to determine the necessary depth and length adjustment between the booster and master cylinder piston. Setting the proper gap between the end of the power booster push rod and the master cylinder piston is important. If the pushrod is too long, it will be difficult to bleed the rear brakes, and there will be residual pressure in the system that will cause brake drag. If the pushrod is too short, there will be excessive pedal travel and the potential of not producing enough pressure to stop safely.
