Liverpool-based studio Dorothy’s stunning metallic gold screenprint, Alternative Love Blueprint, maps a history of alternative and indie music onto the circuit board of an early transistor radio.
Printed on 120gsm Keaykolour Navy Blue uncoated paper, the poster celebrates over 300 musicians, artists, managers and producers who have been pivotal to the evolution of the alternative and independent music scene. “We tried to map it out, from the early proto-punk and garage rockers, through CBGB-era punk, punk, post-punk, 2 Tone and ska, hardcore, Riot grrrl, grunge and many more scenes through to alternative rock,” explains designer James Quail.
