The self-published book was launched recently at Le Café at the Villa Le View in Bluff, south of Durban.
Govender, 46, of Phoenix, said it was about the life lessons she learnt from her childhood to her marriage.
“It touches on healing, exposing racism, religious intolerance, gender-based violence, alcohol abuse, suicide, industrial bullying, greed and moral decline,” said Govender.
The mother of three, who has been married for 23 years, said seeking God’s guidance helped her to cope with experiences and emotions.
Later on, she started documenting the events, which became the first draft of her book.
