ASTON MARTIN HAS TAKEN THE wraps off the DB12 S, the most powerful version of its grand tourer. Powering it is a 4.0-litre twin-turbo-charged V8 that pumps out 700bhp and 800Nm of torque, 20bhp more than the standard DB12. Power is sent to the rear wheels through an 8-speed automatic gearbox, allowing the car to sprint from 0-100kmph in just 3.4 seconds, while top speed is 325kmph. But it isn’t just about more power, the S gets serious chassis upgrades, including Bilstein DTX adaptive dampers, a stiffer rear anti-roll bar, and an electronic rear differential. On the outside, it stands out with functional bonnet louvres, a deeper front splitter, quad exhausts, and subtle red ‘S’ badging.
