WITH the festive season upon us, itâs only natural that most of us would like to kick back, relax and indulge.
While this is normal, it is also important to be mindful of the choices we make, which can be detrimental to our health and well-being.

Overindulgence
According to Ayurvedic medicine, overindulgence can disrupt the doshas (Vata, Pitta, Kapha).
These are essentially the biological factors present in the body that can become imbalanced.
For example, overindulgence in alcohol can lead to increased Pitta in the system, which can cause inflammation, heartburn, gastroesophageal reflux disease, diarrhoea, etc.
