‘Bag a ‘90s Bimota before prices rise’
Motorcycles as investments: a thorny topic. Some dislike the idea of bikes being viewed as financial instruments, but that’s the way it goes for cars, aircraft, works of art, fine wines, you name it. The difficulty is working out what exotica is worth buying, what’s overpriced by dealers and isn’t an investment at all, and what’s overlooked, cheap now, and probably destined for stardom and decent appreciation.
At one end of the scale you have the Honda RC213V-S, priced at €188,000. Apart from the fact that few can afford it, resale value is limited. Anyone who has decided they must have one has probably already got one.
Special editions are an old trick, and not all appreciate. Think Silver Jubilee and Royal Wedding…
