Tell us a little about your creative background and how you first got into quilting. I originally started quilting almost ten years ago while I was studying Fiber Arts at SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design). My main focus was on print and pattern design and I wanted a way to use a collection of fabrics and to create a finished and functional object with them, so I turned to quilting. I took an art quilt class with Pamela Wiley and from there I fell in love with quilting and made my entire senior collection quilt-related, figuring out ways to utilise the medium of quilting in various functional objects. Over the last year, I’ve shared with you my methods for pulling fabrics, choosing fussy cuts and coordinating colour palettes.
