MEAN magistrate Merrilee Ehrlich’s courtroom bullying is being linked to the tragic death of frail, wheelchair-bound defendant Sandra Faye Twiggs, who died just days after a blistering tongue-lashing by the judge who ignored her plea for medical attention.
Evil Ehrlich, 66, resigned late last month after recordings caught her vicious rant at Sandra, who suffered from asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. She was unable to get proper medication — and told the judge — while in custody on a misdemeanor charge linked to a family argument.
Three days after the humiliating bashing by the judge from hell, Sandra, 59, was found dead in her bed at her Lauderhill, Fla., home.
