MERCEDES-BENZ INDIA has reached the manufacturing milestone of 2,00,000th locally produced car from its Chakan plant. The 2,00,000th model, an EQS SUV was rolled off the assembly line. Mercedes-Benz commenced local assembly in 1995, and the first 50,000 cars rolled off in 19 years, in 2014, post which the next 1,00,000 units came in the next nine years and last 50,000 units in just over two years time. Mercedes-Benz produces the A-Class, C-Class, E-Class LWB, S-Class, Mercedes-Maybach S 580, GLA, GLC, GLE, GLS EQS 580 sedan and EQS 580 SUV in India.…
