Nadia Khan nadia.khan@inl.co.za TWO men accused of robbing and killing a Chatsworth pensioner, Muniama Govender, appeared in the Durban High Court on Tuesday.
Clive Pillay, 36, who does not have a fixed address, and Sifiso “Spha” Percival Khanyile, 34, of uMlazi, were arrested and charged with murder and robbery with aggravating circumstances.
Govender, 79, of Silverglen, who lived with her son, was assaulted and strangled in her home in July last year.
According to the post-mortem results, the cause of death was established as being consistent with strangulation and there was blunt force injury to the chest.
