Charlene Somduth charlene.somduth@inl.co.za CRIME experts believe Nazim Moti’s decision to interdict police from speaking to his children will hamper investigations into their kidnapping.
In October last year, the siblings Zia, 15, Alaan, 13, Zayyad, 11, and Zidan, 7, were kidnapped by seven gunmen in Polokwane, Limpopo, near the Curro Heuwelkruin school on the R37/N1 on-ramp.
Three weeks after the kidnapping, the siblings were dropped off in Ra Masia village in Vuwani in Limpopo.
They had sought help from Rhendani Vhalade and Stephania Simango, who lived in the area.
The couple contacted the police, and the boys were returned to their father Nazim and Shakira, his wife.
Nazim is the owner of Moti’s Auto in Polokwane.
