MERCEDES-BENZ INDIA HAS launched a limitedrun EQS 580 named the Celebration Edition at Rs 1.30 crore (ex-showroom). This has been launched to commemorate the brand’s impressive success in the luxury EV space. The biggest change compared to the standard EQS 580 is the new Rear Seat Comfort Package that adds multi-contour reat seats, with massage and lumbar support and 38 degree recline. There is also an Exclusive Chauffeur Package that can move the passenger seat all the way to the front to liberate maximum legroom for the rear passenger on the left. MERCEDES-BENZ INDIA has added a new trim option to the GLS SUV in the form of the AMG Line. This is priced at Rs 1.40 crore (ex-showroom), for the GLS 450 AMG Line an Rs 1.43 crore (ex-showroom) for the GLS 450d AMG Line. Exterior changes include a new bolder bumper, that brings in larger air intakes, body coloured wheel arches, and side sill panels as well an integrated black diffuser at the rear. This also brings in the Night Package, that can be paired with the AMG Line, that adds blacked out mirror caps, window line, roof rails and 21-inch alloys and a darker chrome grille, for an overall darkened look. THE HONDA CITY now has a Sport trim, priced from Rs 14.89 lakh (ex-showroom). This is a limited-run trim, and despite the Sport name, it continues with the same 121bhp 1.5-litre petrol as the standard car and comes exclusively with the CVT. The City Sport gets a blacked out grille, boot spoiler, alloys, antenna, and ORVM caps, as well as Sport badging. There are three colours on offer - Radiant Red Metallic, Platinum White Pearl and Meteoroid Gray Metallic. CITROEN HAS introduced the C3 Sport Edition, this is available on all three trims of the C3 hatch for an additional Rs 21,000. Along with this, the French automaker has also introduced a new Tech Kit for the hatch, that costs Rs 15,000 and adds a wireless charger and dashboard camera to the mix. Cosmetic changes include new decals on the bonnet, roof and bumper as well as the doors. Inside, the C3 Sport gets new seat covers, mats and pedals along with ambient lighting. AUDI HAS launched the Q7 Signature Edition in India with prices starting at Rs 99.81 lakh (ex-showroom). Features like a dashcam and an espresso maker are part of the package, along with new darkened 20-inch alloys, Audi rings puddle lamps, self-levelling wheel caps, stainless steel pedal covers and a metal cover for the key. The Q7 Signature is offered in five paint options – Sakhir Gold, Waitomo Blue, Mythos Black, Glacier White and Samurai Grey. Mechanically, it continues with the same petrol V6 with Quattro AWD.…

MERCEDES-BENZ INDIA has launched the G 63 Collector’s Edition, for a price tag of Rs 4.30 crore (ex-showroom). This is limited to just 30 units, and reserved for those who already own Mercedes-Benz top-end vehicles. This is the first time that a G-Class has been appointed with Indiainspired features and tech. Drawing inspiration from the Indian monsoon, the G 63 comes in a Mid Green Magno or Red Magno exterior, along with a ‘One of Thirty’ plaque on the spare wheel cover, and 22-inch AMG-spec gold alloy wheels. BMW HAS shattered the record for compact cars at the Nurburgring-Nordschleife with the new M2 CS. Piloted by Jörg Weidinger, the M2 CS completed the lap around the iconic circuit in 7:25.534, making it the first time a compact car has done it under the 7:30 mark. This lap is almost 8 seconds faster than the previous record, held by the Audi RS3 with a time of 7:33.123, and is an incredible 13 seconds faster than the standard M2, and 3 seconds quicker than the 2023 M3 CS. The M2 CS is powered by the S58 3.0-litre inline-six engine, the output sits at 530bhp and 650Nm of torque.…

CHEVROLET HAS introduced the ZR1X, the new epitome of the Corvette range. This builds upon the ZR1’s twin-turbocharged LT7 V8 by adding an electric motor at the front-axle. The total output sits at 1,250bhp, up from 1,064bhp of the ZR1, making the ZR1X the most powerful Corvette of all time. The ZR1X can accelerate from 0 to 100kmph in under two seconds, while top speed sits at 320kmph. Corvette also offers the Carbon Aero Package, adding more downforce up to 544kg adding to better high speed stability. PORSCHE HAS created the 911 Club Coupe to commemorate the 70 years of the Porsche Club of America. This is based on the 911 Carrera T, and is limited to only 70 units for the United States and Canadian market. This comes with 388bhp mated to a manual transmission with a walnut lever. Upgrades include the PASM Sport Suspension with a 10 mm lower ride height compared to a standard 911 Carrera, and a mechanical limited slip differential with Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV). BAJAJ HAS launched the new Chetak 3001, an upgrade to the Chetak 2903. It is priced at Rs 99,990 (ex-showroom) and is built on the Chetak 35 Series platform. BRITISH LUXURY marque Bentley has been brought under the umbrella of the Skoda Auto Volkswagen India Private Limited (SAVWIPL). Until now, the Bentley brand was managed by Exclusive Motors, that imported and sold Bentley cars, and handled servicing as well. SAVWIPL already handles five of Volkswagen Group’s brands here, including Skoda, Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche and Lamborghini. The company will now handles the import, sales, marketing and service of all Bentley cars, under the banner Bentley India. AFTER SIX years of being the entry-level Ferrari the Roma has been replaced by the new Amalfi. This is based on the same platform as the Roma, and hence carries an aesthetic quite similar to its predecessor, but gets changes in line with the latest Ferrari models. IF THE Huayra Codalunga wasn’t stunning enough, Pagani has revealed the Codalunga Speedster, an evolution that celebrates the beautiful longtail body with the introduction of a proper purist manual gearbox, and an open-top. Limited to just 10 units, customers have the choice to choose between a sequential gearbox, or a seven-speed manual shifter. The transmission is mated to the Mercedes-AMG sourced 6.0-litre twin-turbo V12 that develops 864bhp and 1,100Nm. The Speedster is identical to the Codalunga coupe, except for the open-top design that includes removable panels. MERCEDES-AMG HAS revealed the Concept GT XX, a four-door high-performance electric based on the AMG.EA platform. Power comes from three axial flux motors developed with YASA, two mounted at the rear and one at the front, producing a combined peak output of 1,341bhp. The car can reach speeds above 360kmph. The AMG.EA architecture uses an 800V system with direct-cooled cylindrical cells, which are capable of charging speeds up to 850kW. At this rate, the car can gain 400km of range in just five minutes. It measures 5,204mm long, 1,945mm wide and 1,317mm tall. The exterior is developed for aero efficiency, with aero intakes in the hood that channel air through the body of the car. BMW MOTORRAD has unveiled an updated version of its radical CE 04 electric scooter for 2025. ALPINE IS making a rally comeback with the A290 Rallye - based on the electric A290, for customer racing. Built in conformation with FIA’s eRally5 rulebook, the Rallye gets a 217bhp motor, churning out 300Nm of torque, placed on the front wheel. The new Q3 picks up its design from the rest of the family, continuing with the sharp-edgy aesthetic with brand new lighting signatures, that also includes the illuminated Audi rings at the rear and pixel-LED DRLs at the front. Inside, the Q3 gains a new layout with a 11.9-inch instrument cluster and a 12.8-inch infotainment that runs Android Automotive OS. LAND ROVER has revived the spirit of the legendary Camel Trophy with the new Defender 110 Trophy Edition. IN A landmark move to enhance road safety, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has announced that from January 1, 2026, all new two-wheelers sold in India, irrespective of engine capacity, must come equipped with Anti-lock Braking Systems (ABS). In addition, dealerships will be required to provide two BIS-certified helmets with every new purchase, one for the rider and one for the pillion. Currently, ABS is mandatory only for two-wheelers with engine capacities above 125cc. With the new mandate, this safety feature will be made compulsory across the board, including for scooters and motorcycles in the entry-level segment. Studies have shown that ABS can reduce accident risk by 35 to 45 per cent.…

INDIAN RACING driver Kush Maini joined the Mahindra Racing Formula E team for the Berlin Rookie Test. Maini finished the test in P3 behind the wheel of the Mahindra Gen 3 Evo race car that he drove earlier in the year at the Rookie Free Practice session in Jeddah where he finished fastest overall. MAHINDRA & MAHINDRA has launched the all-new Bolero MaXX Pik-Up HD 1.9 CNG, for a price of Rs 11.19 lakh (ex-showroom). Mahindra claims it has the highest payload capacity of 1.85 tonnes. It is powered by a 2.5-litre, turbo-charged CNG engine, churning out 83bhp and 220Nm of peak torque.
