Spared to Sail Again
Inspired by Tom Hale’s advice (“It Begins With a P,” on page 52) on prepping yourself and your boat for a long coastal cruise, and having formed an intention to take said boat south from New England to Florida this fall as part of SAIL’s ICW Snowbird Rally, I busied myself one windless day taking inventory of the vast supply of spare parts, tools and miscellaneous items stashed away in her various nooks and crannies.
It took a lot longer than I had foreseen.
