DOGS may soon be saving women from breast cancer! After promising early studies, the prestigious Institut Curie in France has launched the first clinical trial to detect the disease using sniffer dogs. In preliminary research, two Belgian shepherds were trained over six months to detect the smell of a tumor from a sample of sweat. In the first trial, the dogs detected the cancer sample 90.3 percent of the time.
