In my 20s I signed up to do a rather unusual outdoor activity in Anglesey, which is a beautiful coastal part of Wales. This activity involved putting on a wetsuit, crash helmet and life jacket, and jumping off cliffs into the sea. Now, it’s important I point out I am absolutely terrible with heights. I get vertigo walking down stairs. I once got stuck trying to climb a fence into a tennis court because my hands got too sweaty. Over a lifetime, on average, Kiwi women earn a staggering $600,000 less than men In March, during a gender pay gap debate in the European Parliament, Polish politician Janusz Korwin-Mikke said women should be paid less than men because “they are weaker, they are smaller, they are less intelligent”. Losing sleep Phones are banned from the bedroom and you’ve cut out caffeine in the evenings, but you still can’t sleep… The unfortunate reality of ageing is the amount of deep sleep you get each night starts declining in your late 20s – and by age 50, you spend half as much time in deep sleep as you did 30 years before. On the face of it, digital production and tea don’t appear to have much in common. But for 36-year-old Jacqui Wales, her working life is a blend of both.
