So far this year, I've completed more projects than in the entirety of 2016 (shameful admission, I know). I like to think that this sudden flurry of productivity is down to my new sewing mantra – one of the many gems of quilty wisdom shared by our Tech Ed and my quilty partner in crime, Sarah. So I say to you: "Finished is better than perfect". Sometimes it's best just to forge ahead with a WIP, rather than agonising over slightly mismatched seams or a fabric pairing that you're not 100% sold on. This issue's theme is my kind of theme! I'm going to share with you some of my favourite tips for sewing the rainbow. Saturated Sweets I love using bright and bold colours, but I've been burned in the past by my enthusiasm for vivid hues. I turn 40 this year (I know, I don’t look a day over 65!) and it’s got me thinking about some of the lessons I’ve learned.
