RIP JOHAN I was sad to hear of the death of Johan Cruyff, one of the true giants of football. What are your first memories of watching England growing up as a child? I remember Michael Owen’s goal against Argentina. It was amazing – I watched it, dreaming of doing that kind of thing one day. This requires significant amounts of brainpower, which we only have limited resources of – like a battery. Unfortunately the brain interprets the heart beating quickly as potential danger. If I’m included in the squad it will be my first tournament, and the chance to play for your country in a major tournament doesn’t come around often.
