TWO PATIENTS sustained serious injuries when an ambulance transporting them from Springbok to Kleinzee was involved in an accident. It is believed that the vehicle rolled after experiencing a tyre burst. The ambulance was reported to be unlicensed and not roadworthy. Northern Cape police spokesperson Colonel Cherelle Ehlers said the Komaggas police were investigating a case of reckless and negligent driving after an ambulance overturned approximately five kilometres outside Komaggas at around 3.40pm on February 14. “It is believed that the driver was travelling with three patients in the ambulance from Springbok when the accident occurred.
