While we were wrapping up this issue of DA MAN, awards season started. It was certainly exciting to see the Met Gala return to its former offline glory, along with the 2021 Emmy Awards, the opening gala for the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, the Tony Awards, the MTV VMAs and the various international film festivals. As always, a big draw of those events is the red-carpet appearances, where what is worn can be just as important as who wears it. In short: The return of red-carpet events is a big win for fashion.
