What does it do?
The Galaxy Fold (pictured), announced by Samsung on 20 February, is an Android smartphone that has a regular 4.6in screen on the front, but opens to reveal a folding display more than twice as big. At 7.3in, its total area works out only just shy of a 7.9in iPad mini thanks to its squarer shape. The launch comes ten years after the company first demonstrated a prototype folding phone. Huawei’s Mate X phone, unveiled days later, has an even bigger screen.
Why would I want it?
