Gordon built this ‘87 extra cab as a Breast Cancer Awareness build. The project took him eight months down to the day to finish before he left for the RC4WD Scale Nationals in Las Vegas. He entered it in the concourse and Class 1 division. Even though he wasn’t able to run it before Nationals, Gordon still placed 34th out of 78 drivers on a very tough day of crawling. That’s a solid result for being its first run. Even better, Gordon won Best interior and Best In Show in the concourse competition! Congrats Gordon, it’s a great looking rig. As a child, Israel vividly remembers his dad driving him around in his 70s-era Chevy Blazer. Back then, the Blazer gave him an impression that it was a gigantic playground whenever he climbed into the back of the truck.
