Patrice Caldwell is making the best kind of waves in publishing. A Publishers Weekly Star Watch honoree in 2018, and one of Bustle’s eight women “who are transforming the book industry—and, in the process, changing the world” in its inaugural “Lit List,” Caldwell is also the founder and president of People of Color in Publishing (POCInPublishing.com), “a grassroots organization dedicated to supporting, empowering, and uplifting racially and ethnically marginalized members throughout the [book publishing] industry.” Born and raised in Texas, Caldwell is a graduate of Wellesley College.
