On 8 March, an exciting new netball tournament took place at the Utilita Arena in Sheffield, England. Called the Netball Super Cup, the top eight teams in the UK competed and London Pulse celebrated winning the trophy.
Manchester Thunder, London Mavericks, Leeds Rhinos, Cardiff Dragons, Loughborough Lightning, Birmingham Panthers and Nottingham Forest Netball were also in action. They played in two groups of four, with teams playing the three others in their group and the top two in each group qualifying for the semi-finals.
Netball games usually last for 60 minutes, made up of four 15-minute quarters. However, in the Super Cup the matches were 14 minutes, with two seven-minute halves, so the action was fast and fun to watch.
