AN ELDERLY MOUSE
An endangered Pacific pocket mouse in California, US, has been named the world’s oldest mouse in human care by Guinness World Records. Born in 2013 at a zoo, Pat is now nine years and 219 days old. He is nearly two years older than the previous record holder, Fritzy.
AN ANCIENT MONUMENT OPENING
An ancient monument has opened to visitors in the city of Luxor, in Egypt. The tomb of Meru dates back 4,000 years and has been carefully restored over many years by specialists from Egypt, Italy and Poland. The tomb is the oldest place people can visit in Luxor’s West Bank, an area famous for ancient Egyptian ruins.
