Zhu Yue was born in Beijing in late 1970s. He has published three story collections: The Blindfolded Traveller, Masters of Sleep and Chaos of Fiction. Jianan Qian and Alyssa Asquith are both graduates of the Iowa Writers’ Workshop with MFA degrees in fiction. Qian is a staff writer at The Millions, and her work has appeared in the New York Times, Granta, Guernica and The O. Henry Prize Stories, among others. Asquith is originally from Massachusetts. Noémi Lefebvre was born in 1964 in Caen and lives in Lyon. She is the author of four novels, including Blue Self-Portrait and Poetics of Work, both translated from the French by Sophie Lewis. She is a regular contributor to Mediapart and the bilingual French-German review La Mer Gelée. Her latest book, Speak / Stop, will be published in English in 2024. Sophie Lewis is a British-Australian literary editor and translator from French and Portuguese into English. Aleksandra Lun left Poland at nineteen, financed her studies in languages and literature in Spain by working at a casino, and now lives in Belgium. She translates from English, French, Spanish, Italian, Catalan, and Romanian into Polish. Her first novel, The Palimpsests, written in Spanish, garnered critical acclaim in France, and its translation into English by Elizabeth Bryer won a PEN/Heim grant from PEN America. Andriy Lyubka is a prize-winning Ukrainian writer who has published ten books of poetry, essays, travel writing and fiction. His debut novel, Carbide, was first published in Ukranian in 2015 and appeared in English in 2022. He lives in Uzhhorod. Yulia Lyubka and Kate Tsurkan are translators and passionate promoters of Ukrainian literature. In 2017, Tsurkan cofounded Apofenie magazine, which primarily publishes literature in translation.
