I love a reliability report that’s based on cold, hard, brutal data. Polling more than 131,000 extended car warranties, the Warrantywise Reliability Index unveils the least dependable used cars, but really it’s telling us to steer clear of the complicated costly to-ptier brands you dream of owning.
It isn’t at all surprising to find the Range Rover topping the list of potentially bad used buys, because it’s the most likely car to break down. The average repair cost is an only-averagely-scary £1607, but the worst case is more than £23,000. What’s the cost of taking the risk, though?
