Feeling exhausted is common for people with ADHD, and it often has a clear reason. Managing focus, emotions, noise, social expectations, and constant decision making uses a huge amount of mental energy.
ADHD burnout usually shows up as brain fog, irritability, low motivation, forgetfulness, and a strong urge to withdraw for a while. Simple tasks feel harder than usual. The important detail is that burnout often improves with rest, reduced demands, or a reset. After a break, a supportive conversation, or a lighter schedule, energy slowly returns. You may still enjoy favorite hobbies, laugh at a joke, or feel curious again.
