You only seem to get two choices: an existing bike with a battery pack squished in somewhere odd, or a bespoke design that doesn’t look like a bicycle at all. The Microsoft Surface Go 2 is like a Nissan Figaro in tablet form. That curvy car is as basic as they come under the bonnet, but who cares when it’s as cute as hell on the outside? But rather than attack Nintendo on its home turf, the Evercade mines gaming’s history – in more ways than one. This console not only plays retro games, but does so in the most retro way possible: through collectable physical cartridges. That might seem gimmicky, but there’s something to be said for having a small selection of hand-picked games on a cart rather than a billion ROMs on an SD card.
