Sitting in the office, I couldn’t concentrate.
Two colleagues were chatting noisily - and all around, keyboards were clacking.
But the volume seemed impossibly loud.
My head pounded.
I thought, I can’t cope.
Later, I took some painkillers to ease the throbbing in my brain.
Then, without thinking, I swallowed more, then more still.
The next thing I remember is waking up in hospital, and it was three days later.
