Farewell Elmer's Auto & Toy Museum Known worldwide as an authority and collector of pedal cars, the late Elmer Duellman purchased his first pedal car in 1971 and ultimately amassed one of the world's largest and most encompassing collections of its kind. Elmer and his wife, Bernadette, opened Elmer's Auto & Toy Museum in 1994 in Fountain City, Wisconsin. Elmer died in 2019 and the museum's contents, including 800 pedal cars and 250 bicycles, were auctioned off in September.
