Some people think they’re pug-ugly, but not me. I can’t get enough of their wrinkly, squashed-looking faces and big, bulging, black eyes.
To me, pugs are the perfect kind of pooch.
So, two years ago, I decided to get one of my own - a gorgeous mutt I named Ruby.
Smitten, my son, Karl, 29, and I decided to breed her and, in November last year, she fell pregnant.
Sadly, when the litter arrived on 26 January, one of the five pups died.
Still, I was delighted with the four who survived.
