There are no words that could sum up the excitement I have for this special issue. Never had I thought before that DA MAN could be celebrating its tenth anniversary this soon. And so, we launched this special edition with one amazing Hollywood actor on the cover, Charlie Hunnam, whose blockbuster movies, “The Lost City of Z” and “King Arthur: Legend of the Sword,” are not to be missed. Power Couple Versus Versace’s favorite young couple Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid joined forces for the brand’s spring/summer ’17 campaign. Interestingly, Zayn appeared on the images alongside model Adwoa Aboah, while Hadid served as the campaign’s photographer. And she only used her iPhone and digital cameras to shoot the campaign, which was set at the Chateau Marmont hotel in Los Angeles. News of the campaign first broke when the brand’s posted a short clip of the three of them walking around in a hotel room, and used the hashtag #VersusUncensored. Berluti has been making shoes and clothing for men since 1895, with offbeat classicism and technical virtuosity as its key elements. The house was founded by Alessandro Berluti, a native of Senigallia, a tiny Italian port town at the Adriatic coast. In 1865, Berluti took his shoemaking skills to Paris, where he rapidly found work with a number of his fellow countrymen, who were experienced shoemakers with their own establishments. It wasn’t long before Berluti opened his own workshop and began crafting shoes of his own design for wealthy patrons. The business was then passed from generation to generation—first to his son Torello Berluti, and later yet to his grandson Talbino Berluti.
