Ever the gentleman, Brady will stand by Kristen’s side as she awaits news on the baby, despite not yet even knowing if the child is actually his! Not so long ago, Alexis seemed to be in a bit of a storyline drought. There were a lot of things going on around her, but none seemed to have a direct impact. These days, she’s practically in a flash-flood zone where stories are concerned, but none are truly satisfying. Her relationship with Neil has the potential to sizzle but isn’t being given the attention it deserves. Molly’s digging into her Cassadine past, yet we’ve been given no answers about the watch Valentin gave Alexis ages ago. Now, instead of getting involved with the mystery of the Cassadine codicil, Alexis is instead being dragged into the wildly unnecessary Kendra mess. We can’t help wishing that instead of all these disjointed tales, Alexis was given a stronger through-line and material worthy…

… or have you been mighty impressed by GH’s Michael of late? We couldn’t help but love the way he stood by Sasha after she revealed the secret she’d been keeping. Given everything he went through with Nelle, it would have been easy for him to simply walk away from Sasha once she spilled her guts. Michael’s been pretty unlucky in love over the years, and we have no doubt his latest relationship will still face numerous challenges. So from the beginning, Peter’s involvement in the death of much-loved Nathan made it difficult for fans to accept him as a potential love interest for Maxie. Despite this, the writers were determined to pair Faison’s son with Nathan’s widow… and darned if it didn’t almost work. For a while, it appeared that Maxie might just be the key to Peter’s redemption. Of late, however, it’s become painfully obvious that Peter remains willing to do whatever it takes in order to protect himself and his secrets. Genoa City may seem like a small world, but not every cast member has the opportunity to work with each other. You see, the newborn wasn’t actually named after the Corinthos’ beloved Brooklyn neighbor, as stated on the show, but for GH’s late hair and makeup chief, Donna Messina, “It who passed away in December. “It’s sweet and a nice tribute to Donna,” says her dear friend, Maurice Benard (Sonny). “I appreciate it. was very difficult during the scenes. When I had to talk about Donna? I was very emotional,” he continues. “But I think they came out well.”…

GENERAL HOSPITAL fans are intrigued by the possible connection between Dev and Sonny — and so is the teen’s portrayer, Ashton Arbab. “Everybody thinks Dev is Brenda and Sonny’s son,” he shares with a grin. “I’ve seen those posts on Twitter, and that would be cool! “But I know nothing,” he hastens to add. “We’ll just have to find out.” It bears mentioning that Sonny and his old flame never had a son — at least not that we know of. However, back in 2011, Brenda was reunited with Alec, the child who was stolen from her at birth. Perhaps that Alec wasn’t the real Alec… and Dev is? We’re not sure why so many GENERAL HOSPITAL fans seem to be turned off by the latest twists in the memory-swap storyline. Maybe the whole thing is a little too sci-fi for some, while others are obviously upset about Franco having cheated on Elizabeth (not to mention Kim so cavalierly sleeping with her best friend’s husband). We remain fascinated by the story, in part because of its continued raising of complicated questions. Take, for example, Elizabeth’s recent musings. “I know that Franco’s in there, somewhere,” she said, “stranded behind Drew’s memories. What if he’s aware of everything that’s going on, but has no way of telling us?” The thought was as simple as it was horrifying, and it’s the type of thing which has kept us hooked on this story…

For those in the know, it felt like a lovely circle-of-life moment when the fictional child of Carly and Sonny Corinthos was named after the show’s late, much-loved makeup artist, Donna Messina. As Sonny spoke about the newborn’s namesake, you could see the actors in the scene — in particular his portrayer, Maurice Benard — dealing with real emotions churned up by this touching tribute. It’s nice to know that someone who had such a major impact on the cast will be a part of the canvas for years to come. Even though in THIS IS US’ present, Pearson family patriarch Jack is long dead, his impact is still being felt by the family — which now includes his best friend, Miguel. Portrayer Jon Huertas tells Soaps In Depth, “Miguel was always the angel on Jack’s shoulder… He did whatever he could to help Jack provide his family with what he knew that Jack thought they deserved.” Having worked hard to overcome adversity himself, only to lose his own family in a divorce, Miguel’s a man worth knowing better.
