WHILE the family of slain farmer, Sagadava “Manna” Naidoo, searched for him, his alleged killers were apparently “enjoying” themselves at a tavern, indulging in braaied meat and alcohol.
They then sold his cellphone for R300, the Durban High Court, heard yesterday.
Naidoo, 74, a former mayor, had been shot in the head and dumped in a sugar cane field, next to a railway track about 1.5 kilometres away from his homestead in Canelands, Verulam on May 24, 2022.
He was found on May 26, following a two-day search by members of Reaction Unit South Africa, police, family members and friends.
