Instead, you need a total and complete rebuild, which usually includes nothing less than at least a hone job, new rings, bearings, and a valve job, and often requires a cylinder overbore, oversized pistons, and a crankshaft ground undersized on both the main and rod journals (along with matching undersized bearings, sometimes new valve guides, or valves will oversize stems).
