ROLLING STONES drummer Charlie Watts went to his grave nursing a grudge against the group’s famed frontman, Mick Jagger!
Sources say Charlie — who passed at age 80 on Aug. 24 — socked Mick in the chops when the egomaniac treated him like a hired hand!
The smackdown unfolded in an Amsterdam hotel during the band’s 1978 Some Girls tour.
While discussing the Stones’ future, Mick insulted the stick man, sniffing: “None of this should matter to you because you’re only my drummer.”
“Watts kept it bottled inside until he got back to his hotel room. He then clicked off his TV, put on his shoes, walked down the hall and knocked on Mick’s door,” says Bill German, author of the book Under Their Thumb, who witnessed the edgy encounter.…
