ISLAND TIME For one of resort season’s biggest standouts, Fendi’s Silvia Venturini Fendi looked to Sardinia for inspiration. With a focus on textiles, this “hand in hand” Baguette marks a rare departure from leather for the Roman house. Artisans from Fendi collaborated with women’s weaving cooperative Su Marmuri, in the hilltop village of Ulassai, using manual looms to create raised relief patterns, known colloquially as pibiones (“grapes”) in the local dialect.
