A lauded nameplate, ‘Vanquish’ first adorned an Aston Martin back in 2001. The pinnacle product in the British luxury marque’s portfolio, over two generations, it graced roads for nearly two decades, before being retired in 2018.
The latest Vanquish now employs a completely reworked version of Aston Martin’s 5.2-litre, twin-turbocharged V12, which, as opposed to many new high-performance cars, does not incorporate electric assistance. Coupled with an 8-speed automatic transmission, this unit features a strengthened cylinder block and conrods; redesigned cylinder heads, which feature updated camshafts; fresh intake and exhaust ports; repositioned spark plugs, and new fuel injectors with an increased flow rate.
