REMARKABLY FOR A manufacturer that’s not known for massive sales volumes, it’s the numbers that stand out when you look at Bentley’s factory in Crewe.
Some 210,000 cars across 206 model lines have been built there in the 75 years that it has been operational, which is more than 97% of Bentley’s entire production run.
More than that, though, is the fact that just 38,933 cars were built before 2003, before the Continental GT was launched, which just goes to show the staggering success of cars like that and the more recent Bentayga SUV.
At present, 85 cars roll off the line each day, which is the same as the monthly running rate of two decades ago.
